Details emerge about West Haven shop teacher’s expenditures, trips




(Catherine Avalone - New Haven Register) A Ford F250 4x4 Off-Road pickup truck that the West Haven Board of Education bought with Carl D. Perkins technology grant funds was parked Friday behind a locked gate at West Haven High School's Ken Strong Stadium following the retirement of longtime shop teacher Garrett "Gary" Grant. Grant retired as the state Department of Education was conducting an audit of the district's Perkins grant administration. The audit reportedly includes the use of the pickup.
